Painting a room or piece of furniture is still the quickest way to visually change a room. Quality of the paint is the key for a professional finish and durability. Not all paints are the same. Yes each company has good, better, best options, and price points, but you do get what you pay for. Inferior ingredients (and improper prep) lead to chalky or thin application, or multiple coats and extra time fixing bad results.
Two of the elements I’m biased toward Benjamin Moore paint is their stores are small business owned and their proprietary resins & colorants are made in the States. This article is a good read if you want to learn more of paint basics.
